I’m a day late to Top Ten Tuesday – as always hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. My left hand is red, hot, hard and swollen completely, because something stung my little finger and it’s getting worse. I can’t barely move my fingers and so I have to type with only one hand.
The topic is: Books, I would choose another title for. I’m not into it at all, but I’ve seen that Annemieke did a nice turn to the topic and I want to do something similar as well. She took some title generators and let it create some random titles just for fun.
I did the same – using ruggenberg/nl/titles.html as a generator and picked ten titles for I can come up with a story idea. I really hope you like my efforts.
Blue Destruction
A dystopian novel about climate change. The polar caps are melting and so oceans and rivers etc. going mad. You follow a family trying to survive. Like – The day after tomorrow meets – The walking Dead.
Lost Moons
A Sci-Fi novel about people who populated the Saturn and some day some of its moons went missing. Disaster incoming – in the end they learn, that they got sucked into a Black Hole.
The Forgotten Servant
It’s Historical Fiction. An Anastasia retelling. About a young female servant who helped Anastasia to escape when the whole Romanov family got killed. Years later the former servant is near to death and tells their story. How she kept Anastasia hidden from public and how the fell in love with each other. LGBTQ+ content.
The Girl in the Male
Comedy Sci Fi about an female alien who takes over a male human body by accident and both have to learn how to deal with the situation. Both ending up fighting for trans rights.
Dragon of Tears
High Fantasy about a world at war. The Dragon of Tears comes to the people who suffer the most to turn their fate.
The Silky Sword
Middle Grade Fantasy about a boy with a loving family, who is a mobbing victim at school. One day he runs into the woods and finds a sword made of spider silk. Despite he is now the commander of the spider – both become friends. The spider introduce him to a endangered world of insects. The boy now has to save them all. The topic of humans who are destroying nature is intertwined. (I have to admit that the spider thing creeps me out)
Mist’s Body
Horror Mystery / a tale about a village which is haunted my the Mist which surrounds the lake when the villagers showed to much bad behavior. The mist now forms a body and chases people. It only stops, when a girl falls in love with the mist creature. One can say it’s a Beauty and the Beast retelling.
Silver in the Healing
Adult LGBTQ romance about a woman who lost her husband to cancer. Some day she finds a silver necklace in his belongings, but with the name of another girl engraved in it. That’s when she goes on a quest to find the other woman and eventually falls in love with her, although she was the secret love of her husbands life.
School in the Shadow
YA urban fantasy about young people who visit a hidden school to learn how to hunt ghosts and demons and stuff.
Absent Butterfly
Literary Fiction. All around the world some critical incidences happen to several people. But with no consequences at all. These stories are told apart from each other and don’t seem to be linked. This phenomena is soon called The Absence of the Butterfly-Effect. They say: you got the absent butterfly when something severe happened to someone but without consequences. In the end every story gets linked to each other and ends in a severe disaster which combines all missing effects.
The Cold Wave
Mystery Thriller about a woman who flees from her abusive marriage to a small island to find piece. Everything seems normal in the beginning, but later some strange stuff is happening. She ends up in a cult only because she tried to find social life – she finds out, that the cult every autumn sacrifices a person to the so called Cold Wave. It was a nature phenomena in the past that costed many lives but stopped as soon as they started sacrificing people. She wants to escape the cult but can’t. Later her husband finds her and chases her. They end up killing the husband and give him to the Cold Wave.
