I found this TAG at Zezee with Books and liked the answers.
Everyone is tagged and so I decided to do it as well.
What is the most beautiful cover on your shelf?
There are a lot of really beautiful books on my shelf. I really like the German editions of the Tide Lord Quartet by Jennifer Fallon, but I choose the third book in the Tearling trilogy by Erika Johansen. Here you go…
If you could bring any fictional character to life, who would it be?
Temeraire from the Temeraire Saga by Naomi Novik. It is always cool to have a dragon, eh? I could fly around, everyone would be jealous of me and everyone would adore him. He is such a smart guy.
If you could interview an author, who would you choose?
Can I also pick a dead author? Just kidding… I would obviously go for Brandon Sanderson. But if I had to choose a dead guy, I would like to ask Hermann Hesse some questions.
Which book would you not read again?
A lot… But I will never try to read The Baker’s Boy – The Book of Words 1 by J.V. Jones again. That was such a terrible book. I hated the first 250 pages of it. Then stopped and never picked it up again. Gave it away later. Oh man, how I hated this book.
Can you name a confusing story?
There were some confusing classics in my life. But I will choose Seidentanz by Federica de Cesco for this question. It was a present and most of the book was quite boring. Though the end was really heavy I never get it. I’m still confused. I don’t know, what the author wanted to tell me.
Your favorite fictional couple:
Most of the couples I really like are non-canon. So I pick Alissa and Strell from The Book of Truth by Dawn Cook and Kushiel and Jocelyn from Kushiel by Jacqueline Carey.
(You want non-canon couples? Ok, here we go: Morgan and Garcia from Criminal Minds, H.G. And Myka from Warehouse 13, Lady Alexia and Madame Lefoux from Lady Alexia by Gail Carriger, Brienne and Jaime from tSoIaF, Rizzoli and Isles from the TV Show, Sherlock and Joan from Elementary… I will go down with these ships…)
Two favorite villains:
I was always more into the heroes. So this question is hard to answer. Usually I go for Boraz from Threshold by Sara Douglass but I’m not sure if this counts, because Boraz is not a villain as it is defined.
A villain who really creeps me out is Blaine from the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, as it is Walter either.
A character you would kill or remove from a book entirely:
May I name two? Or even three? Denna from The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss, Renna from the Demon Saga by Peter V. Brett and Megan from The Reckoners Series by Brandon Sanderson.
I hate these ladys… They are SO annoying. (Although Megan is okay in the end)
If you could live in a fictional world, where would you choose?
As I wrote in another TAG. I would like to visit Pern. A planet full of dragons. That would be so freaking cool.
What are the biggest and smallest books on your shelf?
The biggest might be the Bible. But there are a few Peter V. Brett books with over 1000 pages or some by Justin Cronin. I don’t know and I don’t care either. The smallest book is a children book called Tranquila Trampeltreu by Michael Ende. It is about a turtle going to the marriage of the (lion) king. When she finally arrives she is happy to celebrate the marriage of the kings son.
Who do I tag?
Ugh, no one? Or everyone? This blog is new, so I guess everyone did this TAG before.
